Recently a friend from California sent me Playsam link. So (I admit for the first time..) I visited this website discovering their Design philosophy and their products...what I liked the most has been the quality and the simple and direct design message. Arnaldo Pomodoro, italian sculptor

I like a lot Pomodoro's sculptures, the first time I saw one was in Los Angeles. I was a young student and did not know that that beautifull and impressive way to work the metal modifing the positive and negative space belonged to an Italian sculptor named Arnaldo Pomodoro.

White Center by Mark Rothko N.Y. USA

IT IS a work that marks a key turning point in Mark Rothko's career - the moment at which he embraced the abstract form, thereby turning himself into a modern icon.White Centre (Yellow, Pink, and Lavender on Rose) features three floating rectangles of colour in a cloud-like form that became Rothko's motif.

I visited this fanthastic National Museum in Mulhouse wher there is the most important (I think) Bugatti collection on earth owned by Schlumpf's brothers. Soon I'll come back on this visit with more photos...

Vicki Vlachakis a talented car designer

The 8th of April the Delawareonline web site (www.delawareonline.com) published an article on Vicki a talented car designer that signed the Pontiac Solstice interior. The article, written by Eric Ruth, explaines very well Vichi's passion for cars telling about her sketching at the age of 12 and keeping up with her dream to become a car designer. In 1995 she graduated at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and started as intern at Audi Design in Germany untill nowadays at GM with a successfull career. I suggest you to go read this well written article hoping that it can convince more talented ladies to try... because , I know, the Automotive Design World needs girls like Vicki Vlachakis.
